Most people searching “sales jobs near me” in Hudson County end up scrolling through the same listings: retail floor jobs, call centers reading scripts, or roles that want three years of B2B experience before you can even apply. If you want a real career in sales, with training, a path to leadership and skills that make you more valuable every year, the options are thinner than they should be.
NexGen Lending is a business funding company headquartered at 2 Hudson Place in Hoboken. We help small businesses get financing from $10,000 to $20,000,000, and we’re growing our sales team. This guide explains what the job is, who it’s for, what you’ll learn and how commuters across New Jersey can get to our sales floor.
Are there entry-level sales jobs in Hoboken and Jersey City with no experience?
You don’t need 10 years of finance experience. You don’t need a perfect resume. You don’t need to know everything on day one. What you need is the willingness to get uncomfortable and the discipline to keep going. Many great salespeople come from restaurants, retail, gyms, warehouses, customer service and sports, places where you learn to read people and work toward a goal.
Where is NexGen’s office and how do I get there?
| Where you live | Common way in |
|---|---|
| Hoboken | Walk, bike or local bus to Hoboken Terminal |
| Jersey City | PATH from Journal Square, Grove Street, Newport or Exchange Place, or the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail |
| Bayonne | Hudson-Bergen Light Rail north to Hoboken Terminal |
| Union City & Weehawken | NJ Transit bus or the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail |
| North Bergen | Hudson-Bergen Light Rail or NJ Transit bus |
| Newark & Harrison | PATH via Journal Square, or NJ Transit rail |
| North Jersey (Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Morris) | NJ Transit lines that terminate at Hoboken, or connections through Secaucus |
Exact routes and times depend on your stop, so check NJ Transit, PATH and NY Waterway before your interview. The role is in person on our sales floor, which is where new reps learn fastest: hearing experienced producers on the phone, getting real-time coaching and working in a room full of people who expect more of themselves.
